The green pearl of the Adriatic: beaches, fashion and seasonal work

Riviera di Romagna
Riccione knows how to be glamorous without losing its village soul. Viale Ceccarini is its catwalk: boutiques, cafés, gelaterias and people strolling with the unhurried pace of those who have decided that holidays never end. The sea here is bluer than elsewhere — at least that is what the people of Rimini say —, the beach is obsessively well-kept, and the working season is among the most intense on the Riviera. Those who arrive to work find beach clubs, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs ready to hire from April to October. Those who arrive to stay find a human-scale city: green, orderly, with a character all its own.

Viale Ceccarini
The beating heart of Riccione: a kilometre of boutiques, restaurants, cafés and gelaterias stretching from the sea inland. In the evening it becomes an open-air catwalk where fashion meets the Romagna dolce vita.
Italy's largest water park with over 30 attractions: slides, wave pools, swimming pools and a relaxation area. Open from May to September, Aquafan has been the symbol of the Romagna summer for decades and one of the area's main seasonal employers.
Seven kilometres of fine sand with some of the best-kept beach clubs on the Riviera. The water is clear, the sand clean, the service impeccable. The central stretch — between beach clubs 90 and 130 — is the most lively and popular with young visitors.
Riccione's green lung: 35 hectares of pine forest separating the seafront from the historic centre. Cycling paths, sports facilities and a natural lake. Perfect for those wanting a break from the beach without leaving the city. In summer it hosts open-air concerts and performances.
Riccione is reachable by car from the A14 motorway (Riccione exit). By train on the Bologna–Ancona line, with the central station in the heart of the city 5 minutes from the sea. The nearest airport is Rimini's Federico Fellini (15 km), with direct flights from across Europe.
Parking
Main car parks: Park Azzurra (paid, near the beach), parking on Viale Gramsci and in peripheral areas with shuttle buses. In peak season arrive before 9am. ZTL (restricted traffic zone) active on Viale Ceccarini during summer evenings.
June–August for the beach, fashion and nightlife. May and September for those seeking quiet and lower prices. Seasonal hiring starts in March–April. Riccione hosts international events in dance, fashion and music year-round.
